A savings bond is a government bond that earns interest and is issued in a variety of denominations. Interest on the bond accumulates tax-free.
As of 2012, the U.S. Government is no longer issuing paper savings bonds. Paperless savings bonds can now be purchased online at www.treasurydirect.gov.

Some circumstances exist where an employee of the Des Moines Police Officers' Credit Union needs to witness the signing of a document. The Credit Union employee needs to know that the signature is original and must see appropriate identification. This process only takes a few minutes and is free to members.
Notaries Public at the Des Moines Police Officers' Credit Union shall exercise diligence and utmost care in the performance of all notarial acts.
Coin Counting
Members are welcome to bring coin to the credit union to be counted. This is a free service, and typically only takes a few minutes. Please note: this service cannot be offered through the Drive-thru.
Convenient Drive-thru
Des Moines Police Officers' Credit Union offers a convenient Drive-thru service for most account transactions. This service is offered Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
